• Student Conduct
At BrushBugs Art Classes, we are dedicated to fostering an environment filled with respect, kindness, and safety so every student can flourish. Students are expected to follow instructor guidance and studio rules to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
If a student has difficulty following directions or maintaining appropriate behavior, parents or guardians may be contacted and asked to arrange an early pickup for the day. Your cooperation helps us maintain a positive and welcoming studio environment for all students.
• Parent Attendance
BrushBugs classes are designed as drop-off classes so students can focus, build independence, and enjoy a creative studio environment.
Parents are welcome to briefly walk their child in on the first visit or if a child needs extra support. However, parents and siblings are generally not permitted to remain in the studio during regular classes unless previously arranged.
• Studio Areas
BrushBugs Art Classes operates from a private home studio. The downstairs level of the home is designated for studio activities.
Students are expected to remain in the areas designated for class activities. The instructor may guide students to other designated areas downstairs when necessary.
The upstairs level of the home is private and not accessible at any time to students, helpers, monitors, or instructors during classes, camps, or parties.
• Attendance & Make-Up Classes
If your child misses a class, they may attend a make-up session during another class time based on availability.
To be eligible for a make-up class or credit, you must notify us at least 2 hours before the class begins. Missed classes without prior notice are not eligible for credit.
Make-up classes should be scheduled within the same session or month whenever possible.
• Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change unexpectedly. If your child cannot attend a class, please notify us by email at least 2 hours before the class begins, and we will provide a credit toward another class.
Refunds are not available.
For cancellations of a full course (such as monthly classes or camps), we request at least one week’s notice.
• Arrival & Pickup
Please arrive on time for both drop-off and pickup.
Students arriving 10 minutes late or more may miss important instructions, which can affect their ability to complete the project.
Students must be picked up promptly at the end of class.
• Late Pickup
If a child is not picked up within 10 minutes after class ends, a late pickup fee may apply.
• Clothing & Art Materials
Art classes involve paint, clay, glue, and other materials that may stain clothing. While aprons may be provided when appropriate, BrushBugs Art Classes is not responsible for stained or damaged clothing.
Students are encouraged to wear comfortable clothes suitable for art activities.
• Promotional Use of Pictures
BrushBugs Art Classes may occasionally take photographs during classes to document student projects and class activities.
If Full Consent has been provided, photographs that include a student’s face may be used on BrushBugs social media, newsletters, the BrushBugs website, or in marketing materials and advertisements. Although this option is available with full consent, we typically focus on showcasing artwork rather than close-up images of children whenever possible. BrushBugs Art Classes also reserves the right to use photographs of student artwork for promotional and advertising purposes.
If Partial Consent has been provided, photographs of the student’s artwork and participation may still be shared. If the student’s face appears in a frontal or partially frontal image, it will be covered with an emoji or icon to protect the child’s identity.
Group photographs may occasionally be taken to document class experiences and foster a sense of community. While it may not always be possible to completely exclude a child from group photos, BrushBugs Art Classes will always follow the consent option selected by the parent or guardian and will prioritize student privacy and safety.
• Photo Removal Request
Parents or guardians may request the removal of a photograph of their child from BrushBugs Art Classes promotional platforms at any time by contacting us. We will make reasonable efforts to remove the image from future use; however, removal from previously published materials or third-party platforms may not always be possible.
• Third-Party Photo Sharing
Parents, guardians, and other attendees may occasionally take photographs during classes, camps, or events and share them on their personal social media accounts. BrushBugs Art Classes does not control and is not responsible for photographs or videos taken or shared by third parties.
Families are encouraged to be respectful of other children’s privacy when sharing images that may include other students.
• Data Protection
BrushBugs Art Classes respects the privacy of all families. Contact information provided during registration, including email addresses and phone numbers, remains confidential and is never shared with third parties.
